In racing, speed matters. With the AMS ZERO99 C:68X SLX 29, the premium carbon frame construction is just the start. Sram's 12-speed X0 Eagle Transmission delivers every shift to perfection, backed up by Magura's powerful MT8 SL hydraulic disc brakes to keep you in control. We fitted a pair of Newmen Phase 30 carbon wheels for their low weight and rapid acceleration, then added grippy Schwalbe Racing Ray and Racing Ralph 2.35in tyres. A Fox 34 Float Factory SC Grip SL fork delivers 110 mm of ground-smoothing travel up front, plus exceptional steering accuracy. It's backed up by a Fox Float SL Factory shock at the rear. And a Fox Transfer dropper post makes those riskier line choices that little bit more rapid.
Fast is light, fast is efficient, but above all fast means zero compromise. The AMS ZERO99 C:68X 29's frame is crafted from our premium carbon and weighs in at a stunning 1,600g, approximately. There's plenty of room for 2.4in tyres and that means more grip and more control, even in the toughest conditions. Based on feedback from our XC and European Champion riders, chainstay length is tuned for optimum climbing whilst retaining excellent manoevrability. Slender tubes help keep the ride comfortable, rather than harsh. There are angle adjustment inserts to allow fine-tuning of the head angle. And with 110 mm of travel front and a geometry that's tuned for agility and pace, you've got everything you need to get to the head of the pack.
